To better understand Hong Kongers\u2019 coping capabilities and their relationships with their family members, as well as how family services can cater to family members in need, the\u00a0<strong>Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project (\u201cThe Project\u201d)\u00a0<\/strong>team from the\u00a0<strong>School of Public Health, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong (\u201cHKU\u201d)<\/strong>\u00a0researched the \u201cRelationship between Adversity Coping Capability, Family Well-Being, and Innovative Family Services during the COVID-19 Outbreak\u201d. The results were announced at today\u2019s press conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Project aims to encourage members of the public, social welfare units, and Integrated Family Service Centres to apply more elements of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to promote family well-being.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hong Kong Jockey Club Executive Director, Charities and Community,\u00a0<strong>Mr Leong Cheung<\/strong>\u00a0said, \u201cThe Club has spared no effort in promoting the use of innovative technology, so as to strengthen the social service sector\u2019s capability to cope with social issues and foster the development of local family services. We also supported various projects to encourage cross-sectoral cooperation, in a bid to develop a more suitable and effective service.
