The project team will endeavour to facilitate IFSCs to develop innovative blended modes of services. Given the unique nature of localised family needs, the choice of innovative service or intervention, and the training and delivery of the service or intervention will be conducted by individual IFSC centres and their respective agencies.<\/p>\n
The project team will organise training sessions on skills in conducting evidence-based practice research; facilitate IFSCs to conduct blended mode evidence-based intervention programmes to help families in Hong Kong; systematically collect and disseminate practice evidence to professionals in local and international conferences relating to family work.<\/p>\n

The project team develops an E-Resource hub, known as the i-Hub<\/a> to support the advancement of family services in Hong Kong, as well as to develop innovative family services, through the use of technology and data. Case management became much more convenient with the i-Connect. I was able to obtain a clear overview of the cases.<\/p>\n
Now with the Data Analytics System (DAS), we are able to do many data analysis and comparison, which provide evidence for our service planning.<\/p>\n
During the pandemic, my supervisor could directly view and update my client\u2019s status through i-Connect when I worked from home. It helps to save our time to look for the client\u2019s folder.<\/p>\n
I can view the centre statistics (e.g. number of active cases) immediately from the system now.<\/p>\n
The blended mode (e.g. use of an instant messaging app group) of services enabled the participants to share information and communicate conveniently, creating an interactive learning environment.<\/p>\n
Blended mode of services fits the trend of family services nowadays. As mobile phones are widely used in daily life, our colleagues have used instant messaging apps to contact service users.<\/p>\n
The SMART Coping app \u201c\u667a\u653e\u9b06\u201c enabled parents to relax and stay calm in times of crisis. With better understanding about negative emotions, they are able to show empathy when their children are struggling.<\/p>\n
During COVID-19 pandemic, the Project has helped to maintain the service continuity through various ICT options, so we can connect with service users. It also provided training to frontline workers which strengthened their knowledge and skills of ICT-enabled service delivery.<\/p>\n
Our knowledge in ICT is quite limited. The Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project has provided resources, information and training to support the better use of ICT in family services.<\/p>\n
The Project gave us much support (on the blend-mode), especially the university partners which collaborated with us and guided us in designing the blended-mode services, in addition to providing training.<\/span><\/p>\n
We are inspired by many i-TLS trainings and the creative work shared by other social workers. Never thought of applying ICTs to our services could be so much fun and influential\u2026 We are impressed and inspired to create more to promote our service.<\/p>\n
Digital transformation will significantly change the service delivery and operation in sector. Technology adoption in social services needed to be strengthened. Providing ongoing user training and technical support during the transformation process is the key.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve incorporated ICT elements into some parenting groups, allowing parents and their children to use online games for communication and interaction. We feel these applications are much more engaging than before, and the participants\u2019 reactions have been better.<\/p>\n
With the help of the Project, we developed an online platform on family support, allowing service users to access service information anytime, such as resources for caregivers, disabled individuals, and SEN children. The platform also included interactive features, such as taking photos, leaving messages, and even downloading family photos instantly.<\/span><\/p>\n
Now, most of our services have turned into online mode. This project has accelerated the digital transformation of service delivery. Colleagues have become more confident in creating innovative programmes by seeing other\u2019s success.<\/p>\n
JCSFL has changed social workers\u2019 digital mindset gradually. We have been actively exploring other e-channels to deliver services. It is necessary to develop the blended and online mode of service delivery.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/target1.png\"){kind=icon}
