Professor Reynold Cheng is the Division Head and Professor of the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing and Data Science in the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is an Associate Dean of Engineering, an Associate Director of HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science, and the Director of the Data Science and Engineering Programme. His research interests are in data science, big graph analytics and uncertain data management. He was the Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2005 to 2008. He received his BEng (Computer Engineering) in 1998, and MPhil (Computer Science and Information Systems) in 2000 from HKU. He then obtained his MSc and PhD degrees from Department of Computer Science of Purdue University in 2003 and 2005.<\/p>\n
Professor Cheng is named as the 2023 AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar (Honorable Mention), and the World\u2019s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2022. He received the SIGMOD Research Highlights Reward 2020, HKICT Awards 2021, and HKU Knowledge Exchange Award (Engineering) 2021. He was granted an Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2011-12 by HKU. He received the Universitas 21 Fellowship in 2011, and two Performance Awards from HKPU Computing in 2006 and 2007. He is an academic advisor to the College of Professional and Continuing Education of HKPU. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, ACM SIGMOD, and UPE. He was a PC co-chair of IEEE ICDE 2021, and has been serving on the program committees and review panels for leading database conferences and journals like SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, KDD, IJCAI, AAAI, and TODS. He is on the editorial board of KAIS, IS and DAPD, and was a former editorial board member of TKDE.<\/p>\n

Professor Kelvin Wang is a Professor at the School of Nursing of the University of Hong Kong. Professor Wang received his BN, MPH, MPhil and PhD from the University of Hong Kong. He is Fellow of American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), Co-leader of Smoking Cessation & Tobacco Control team (HKU), Principal investigator of Hong Kong Jockey Club Smart Family Link Project (Phase 2, Nursing), Associate Editor of BMC Public Health and editorial board member of Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Psychology (Health Psychology) and the MHealth, and Council member of Hong Kong Council on Smoking & Health.<\/p>\n
He has published more than 190 papers (e.g. JAMA Internal Medicine, Lancet Digital Health, Addiction, Tobacco Control, etc.) (Google Scholar H-index: 31) and awarded Faculty Outstanding Research Output 2022. His research focuses on behavioral intervention, addiction, policy evaluation, and health communication. He led the team on alternative tobacco products (ATPs) research has been awarded Faculty Knowledge Exchange Award 2022 for the impactful research on total ban of ATPs. The Community-based Smoking Cessation Program has been awarded American Academy of Nursing Edge Runner as an excellent nursing model.<\/p>\n

Professor Daniel Wong is a clinical psychologist and currently the Chair Professor in Mental Health and Counselling of the Department of Social Work at Hong Kong Baptist University. His major research interests revolve around evidence-based practice in mental health, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and mental health literacy promotion. In the past sixteen years, Daniel and his team have obtained numerous funding to develop innovative, culturally-attuned intervention models to tackle public health issues such as depression, anxiety, chronic illnesses, gambling and drug addictions among the Chinese. His empirical works have appeared in prestigious academic journals such as Depression and Anxiety, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, and British Journal of Social Work. In addition, he authored 15 books and has promoted the use of culturally-attuned CBT practice by mental health professionals.<\/p>\n
